TO MY FIRST TEAMMATE
As tears flows uncontrollably from my eyes
I force my pen to plough
To plough these sheets
On which I plant the most painful words
That I have ever written.
I put myself through this difficult task
Wishing you will see its fruits
And return to me
To embrace me like you did
As we bade goodbye the last time
If only I knew that was the last
Nnam,
I remember how you smiled each time I called you that
How you kept making jokes
Throwing banters even in the pains
I always looked at you and was sure
Very sure that I could never be as strong as you were
You were a man JP
I miss you
More than these fleeting words can express
The drama we had growing up,
For the years we were the first fruits
The power tussle,
When other siblings started arriving
The balance we found as adults
We were a great team bro
With me as your activist
And you the thinker.
I miss your humor
Your expressions
Your intellect
Your love
God, I miss you.
More than a brother
You were my biggest fan
You inspired me to be a better person
A better Big Sis too
I celebrate your life.
I do not understand why you had to go
But, I believe you already had that convo with Him
I am sure you have made so many friends already in His kingdom
Like you did while here.
I love you JP
Before, now and always
I am glad we all had the opportunity to show you how much
Stay safe.
Least I forget Prep my room wella
You know how I like it
I wont say Adieu
You will forever live in my heart.
